| This list shows our general model stock, some of which is carried when we attend events around Southern England. A list of other items can be found off the site map, or the online shop. You are welcome to order any of these models, & as described below, you can send a deposit to hold back something you desire. We only offer UK P&P at £1.50 for Recorded First Class, that is per package that is sent out at the same time for models listed here. We may offer a discount on a purchase of three or over, paid & sent at the same time. You are offered to pay by a variety of methods. We are adding some of our model stock to our auction sales, both at a low start price along with a new BUY Now price, so maybe its worth a look there before you request a model from this list. The price here may NOT have been adjusted, although we would agree to matching our price if we have it listed (as a Fixed sale elsewhere). Dinnages (Brighton), have carried diecast models since 1989, & for over ten years (1990-2001) operated a retail book & collectors shop in central Brighton. We have now reverted back to a more enjoyable postal and event based business, & in more recent years, internet sales through this site from 2000. Joining PayPal and the auction site eBay in 2001, by November 2004 made some new friends & business in this online way. Now stored in private premises, sometimes visits may be offered by prior arrangement, mainly for those wishing to delve through our vast photo library, not an easy task to deal with in the post! On the model diecast side, we now define our buying of new & previous releases of EFE, Corgi OOC & some 1/50th scale diecast models of just south coast bus liveries, centered on Brighton, which compliments our local photographs & booklets. As the current stock of other areas liveried models sell out, they wont be replaced, unless offered within collections, although we appreciate collectors have models and hobbies that are connected such as railways in 1/72 and 1/43 scale, not always possible from ready made manufacturing. We often search out for the more unusual being those the avid collector may require. Some are listed here with a guide price in (brackets). where stock changes regularly, some may be 'OUT OF STOCK' since our last update of this listing, although still worth asking about! Where the listing shows 'SHOP' these models are now migrated to the online shop. We now rarely buy even selected liveried models, or whole collections. The latter used to be bought as an average price across the board. Particularly a low figure when we are asked to collect, refit them into the boxes, often still separate in the loft with models still in the display cabinets! Not a lot of modern diecast is 'worth a lot in its box', a common misconception, those were the days of Dinky Toys, Corgi Toy ranges & such like from real toy collecting during the 1960's & 1970's. The more recent two decades were in the main produced and sold as "to collect with its box", just look how those Yesteryears are now worth about £1.00 each! Yet dont you recall how much we were often told that just because those we bought as toys made in literally thousands if not hundreds of thousands are now worth money 'Mint & Boxed', this was really almost a con to the general public and enthusiast who other than buying becuase they liked their theme, would have something 'to pass down the generations'. Times change and where once many other collectables have 'investors' come and go, it leaves many collectors and surviving partners with rooms and cabinets full of nice models but unfortunately except for the few, rarely scarce as almost all of the production runs are still 'Mint & Boxed'! As a family run operation, Malcolm Dinnage produces our cabinets for sale, therefore any collections bought would not include the cabinets. However we are always very interested in many other items of transport memorbillia in particular the photographs, negatives & timetables, highly desired are those from ex. bus company staff of say Southdown Motor Services, Brighton Hove & District or any period of the now merged ex. Brighton Corporation Transport and versions of its trading names, Brighton Transport Limited, Brighton Buses, and Brighton Blue Bus. For your advantage, the price stated on this list will be held if you have made at least a £5.00 deposit against any of those models. A model listed is no guarrantee it's in stock. Payments will be returned when items requested are found unavailable. (Cheques will not therefore be banked, any card payments easily refunded). A point to note, UNLESS a model is actually listed in the NEW SHOP, it cannot be bought through that section, only here using the payment methods described, therefore the models are not part of the customer encouragement Vouchers offered & used within that online shop.
